Research

The School of Earth, Environment & Society at McMaster is an internationally recognized centre for research and training. Its strengths lie in the discovery, application and transfer of knowledge to issues and problems in the earth, environmental and geographical sciences.

Two particular strengths in the School are the development of interdisciplinary research programs that integrate the earth and environmental sciences with human geography and the use of spatial analysis to investigate the geographical relationships between the environment and society.
