The School of Earth, Environment & Society offers a minor in Geographic Information Science (GIS). This is open to students enrolled in any honours undergraduate program at McMaster. The courses (and degrees) offered in the School of Earth, Environment & Society fulfill the educational requirements for professional certification offered by the GIS Certification Institute and can lead to a Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) designation.
